My artistic experience was reading an art magazine. This magazine talks about techniques for making art. The magazine talks about different techniques for painting portraits. The magazine talks about different styles and describes how they can be easily implemented in ones paintings. Further more the magazine talks about painting without brushes and different types of brushes that can be used. The magazine discusses different things that can be used to paint. It suggest cotton swabs and the end of ropes as suggestions. The author also discusses using twigs and leaves found outside to paint pictures. This fits in with their section about painting things in nature. The second part of the magazine talks about drawing animals. It talks about how you can practice drawing animals by pausing a video or looking in a wildlife book. This is an alternative to going outside if the weather does not permit this or you do not have time. Also it says this is easier than finding an animal and trying to draw it while it moves. Also the magazine talks about sketching animals. It tells the artist to look in an anatomy book with sketches of animals skeletal structures. This wiould help an artist understand the shape of an animal and proportion. The article also describes how to draw animals in proportion. For example a horse is about 2 ½ heads high. This gave me an insight into the artist's world. I began to understand how artist perfect there techniques of doing representational drawings which look realistic. This showed me how the articst practices there technique something which I had never really known until now.
