Terrorism

"Evil is real, and it must be opposed" was a statement made by President George W. Bush in his State of the Union Address in January of 2002, President Bush went on to name several countries that support and house terrorist organizations calling them an "axis of evil", such as: Iraq, Iran, and North Korea. The groups that operate out of these countries cause fear and terror in many parts of the world.
Terrorism, which has been around for as long as people can remember, has been on the rise for the past ten years. Terrorists use murder, kidnapping, hijacking, and bombings to achieve their purpose. Terrorism is all over the world, in every way, shape and form. Most generally the motive of terrorists and their organizations is political, religious, or ideological in nature. Within the last decade, the effects of terrorism have come to the United States. Every terrorist has a motive even the ones who can be proven as clinically insane have a motive at the root of their actions. .
Terrorists have many different reasons for committing these acts. If terrorists are not satisfied with their government's political positions, they may end up taking the matters into their own hands.
With terrorism being so secretive and having no forewarning, it has been a real problem to deal with. The governments of many countries have tried to stop these cowardly acts but stopping groups that train and work in secret is much harder than fighting an identified army. .
Extremist militants of other faiths have also had an involvement in terrorist violence and must not be ignored. Christian religious groups, such as the Aryan Nations or the Ku Klux Klan are active in North America and are becoming more closely associated with the Militia Movement. The Militia Movement group has found roots in the Protestant Christian Religion and has even dreamt of political aspirations (Simonsen, 40). Although the basis of Christianity is not prejudice and intolerance of all other religions, this group of extremists has justified a right to terrorize and suppress African-Americans, Jewish-Americans, and even white civil rights workers.
