I conducted a survey on racial profiling with a variety of Americans from different cultures and age groups (Appendix A). Four were African Americans, three Caucasians, and three Hispanics. Afterwards, I interviewed a 42 year old, male who works for the government in the World Embassy by the name of Richard Chambers (Appendix B). I also interviewed a 21 year old, female college student Veronica Malmstead (Appendix C). I analyzed a cartoon on racial profiling from the Union Tribune to see how they feel about racial profiling.

Results .
The first research question was "has racial profiling increased since September 11?" According to Siggins "Response to the events of September 11, betray a pattern of racial profiling." In the two interviews I conducted, The question "Has racial profiling increased after September 11? Why do you think so?". Chamber's response to this question was "Yes, it has because people have become more sensitized to hatred towards terrorist."(Chambers). Malmstead's feedback was " yes, .

My second research Question was " Is racial profiling leading to good or bad for the US?" According to Bush, "Those who feel like they can intimidate our fellow citizens to take out their anger don't represent the best of America, they represent the worst of mankind." Chambers reply was "good, In that it helps disadvantaged people of minorities to get scholarships and is bad if it stops a person of a certain ethnicity from doing something like riding an airplane or grocery shopping.
