Society's Impact On Entertainment

Just as out American forefathers left footprints on the sands of time, our current generation should do likewise. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem, "The Psalm of Life", depicts hope, and the true meaning behind leading a successful and inspiring life. To "Be a hero in the strife" is what all must do in these harsh, cruel times. When I am dead and gone, I only hope my footprints will touch someone else's heart. Not only can we as a society make an impact on the "sands of time", we can also make our lives sublime in any way we please. My life can influence future generations by pursuing, laboring, and achieving our goals. .
It's odd to think that the majority of the world thinks that just getting by in life is all right. Life is something that is taken for granted each and every day. Humans must learn to pursue their goals and make the most of life. Because the more they make of their life, the more people they will influence to do the same. Now, this doesn't mean for mankind to just act like they care about life, or by acting nice to people. It's about showing how loving we can be towards others, and how earnest we can be about our goals. My ideal life is set out in stone before me, because I have the yearning to pursue my dreams, and impact others in any way possible. But all these things are unachievable if the impermanent generations are not will to labor for them.
One thing that is very noticeable about people is that they lack the determination and enthusiasm to achieve their goals. Making an impact on others and putting your footprints in the "sands of eternity" is unfeasible if you are not willing to work for it. The process of attaining dreams and goals is probably the hardest step in the process of over all goal achievement. As Longfellow said, "Be not like dumb driven cattle Act--act in the living present." It is almost unnecessary to waste time doing nothing that affects others.
