Shakespeare Tragedies

Juliet accepts the proposition and drinks the potion. Everything goes as planned until there was a delay in Friar Laurence's letter to Romeo. Apparently the messenger that was to deliver the letter to Romeo was constrained from leaving Verona due to the fact that there was a deadly virus outbreak. Instead, Romeo receives word of Juliet's death. Shocked and down-cast by this news, he realizes that he can't live without his love and quickly acts on his instincts and purchases a bottle of poison and leaves for Verona in hopes of dying near his one and only. Disoriented and heartbroken he discovers his worse nightmares to be true. He finds Juliet in the Capulet tomb- dead. Still unaware that she will awaken, he drinks the poison and dies. Within a few moments, Juliet awakens to find her beloved lying next to her lifeless. Distort and ruffled she realizes that he's drunk the poison to be with her in death. Hoping to swallow some herself she kisses his lips but nothing happens. She then takes his dagger and stabs herself. The following day the Montagues and Capulets are informed of the events that took place over the past few days by Friar Laurence. He tells them of Romeo and Juliet's strong affection for one another and of their marriage. The two families then realize just how much damage the hatred between them had caused. Because of their animosity the Montagues lost their only son and the Capulets lost their only daughter. The death of Romeo and Juliet not only bounded the two lovers together even in after death but also broke they bad blood that had existed between the two households. .
Through Shakespeare's works he shows how tragedy can come from different sources and in Othello calamity is led by human negativity and manipulation. The play begins with Othello promoting Cassio as lieutenant instead of Iago. Iago furious with Othello's decision begins to plot against both men to get his due.
