Romantic Movement

While the Romantic poets focused on an image or insignificant to help understand themselves and the world around them, so did I. I focused on a place, an important place to help me gain understanding about myself and the world around me. This place is my hideout from the rest of the world, it impacts me in many ways, and I learn a lot about myself when I"m in it. It places me in a location that many people themselves are very fond of. This place is my room.
My room is a four-walled comfort zone, in which I spend a lot of my time. It is decorated with pictures of family and friends. There are many posters and stuffed animals everywhere. I"m a neat freak, so it is always clean and organized, compared to the rest of my home. My room impacts me a lot because I consider it my hideout. When I don't want to be with my family, and when I want to be left alone, it's the place to be. Once I close the door, and lock it, I feel relaxed and at peace. Nobody can bug me or interfere in my life. By relaxing in my room all day, I have realized that I always want or need to be alone. Don't get me wrong, I like hanging out with my friends, but once in a while doesn't everyone need to be left alone?.
My room helps me think about my life, and everything I have been through. I rejuvenate from the problems and stress that I encounter everyday. Many people find their room as a place of their own, where they are separated from the world. I love my room and I could not imagine sharing it with anyone else. I have had my won room since the 6th grade. When I go off to college (if I get accepted,) it will be very different sharing a room with a complete stranger. But, I will always remember, and come back to my very own room. A place where I can be myself let loose, and get away from the world in.
Overall, my special place like I said, is my room. It will always be a special place to me. When I am older and I have kids, I will provide them with their very own rooms.
