Did you ever look in the mirror and say to yourself, how can I be beautiful? Well it is mostly in our day society that most people think of that. In history there was a moderate form of using beauty, but natural in its way; no plastic surgery or any of our inventions. Back in the old days beauty was based on your true self, now it's all about the make up, gizmos and gadgets we have.
It is said that beauty is accomplished by all the make up products or a surgeon's office. It ranges from make up as expensive as Channel and as cheap as over the Rite Aid counter. People in our days think that, if you are not wearing a little bit of make up you"re an outcast. I mean, take a look at yourself. What is said to be beautiful is a model with tons of make up and million of surgeries. Everywhere you look, you see a billboard or magazine cover with them "beauties".
Well to me personally, I think beauty is more than skin deep. The beauty of a person is not found on the outside, but in the inside; where all the real emotions and personality is. To our people if you don't have the body and the face, you are nothing! What I think is, things should start changing and people should stop giving so much importance to what other people think.
My conclusion is that people need to open their eyes and notice that you don't need all the fake stuff. You can accomplish anything you want in life with intelligence and being your true self.
Self-assessment.
I entered this writing in my portfolio because; I thought it is an important issue that arises in our society today. It gives a good flash of history comparing to today. It talks about true issues relating to this topic are happening now. It also explains my point of view on the issue, and why it shouldn't be as important as it is. Its conclusion is a good way to make reader think twice about the writing and why they should consider it. It is a good writing that I thought was good to put in because; it is persuasive in a way and very factorial to what is happening now a days.
