The direct mail questionnaires are suitable used for large samples where wider area can be covered compare to interviews. Besides that, direct mail questionnaires are time saving where other preparation works could be carried out while waiting for the return of results from the respondent.
Details of the analysis and results of questionnaire are presented in Chapter 5. A sample copy of the questionnaire is enclosed in Appendix. .
A framework of the methodology has been designed to show the distinct stages and the sequence in which they occurred. The framework is represented diagrammatically in Figure 1.1.

1.7 LIMITATION.
The research is limited to study the project manager's soft skills, the combination percentage of hard skills and soft skills that a good project manager should possess and the effective ways of developing project management skills.
The questionnaire undertaken is limited to studying the responsiveness and opinion of the construction project managers in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor state regarding the above-mentioned aspect. The small sample selected in the questionnaire survey and the poor response limited the reliability of the findings. Notwithstanding with this, the hypothesis can still be used and its validity established via research.
1.8 STRUCTURE OF DISSERTATION.
The dissertation is structured into six chapters:.
(a) Chapter 1- Introduction.
It consists of problem statement, rational, objective of research, scope of research, methodology, limitation and structure of dissertation, which forms the foundation of this dissertation.
(b) Chapter 2- Introduction to Project, Project Manager and Project Management.
This chapter gives a clear and understanding definition regarding project, project manager and project management. The definitions are abstracted from books written by gurus of project management and management dictionary.
This chapter also discusses characteristic of project, development of project management concept and why project management is needed.
