Perhaps the unwanted child came from a rape or an act of incest, but it may be just the woman does not want a child at that time because they"re not ready. Bottom line, I just believed that the fetus carrier had the choice to abort because it was their body and their fetus. Also, I didn't see abortion as an actual killing because the child wasn't actually born yet. Although, nowadays I feel that this is wrong. I believe that if a woman aborts her pregnancy, she will have stress from the abortion, in addition to the physical stress because of the incident (if it was rape). And yes, the fetus belongs to the mother and it's her body, but it's not right to eliminate the baby and use that as an argument/excuse. The pregnancy is not the fetus's fault. Why punish the living if they've done nothing wrong to be punished for? And although it hasn't been born into the outside world, it doesn't make it less wrong to terminate the fetus because it's less controversial than if you were to terminate somebody who's actually been born into the world. The definition of "living" is defined as alive; having life; not dead. If that's the definition, and the fetus is not considered dead in the mother's womb, then the fetus is considered living/alive. Which in turn, means that you"re terminating a living human (which is not suppose to be legally right or morally right).
My beliefs on the mental and physical situations, during and after the abortion situations, have also changed. My past perspective on the emotional issues of abortion was that abortion was safe, and there was no serious after effect. I figured that a woman who experienced emotional feelings after an abortion, such as regret or sadness, would soon recover from it. But now as a supporter of "pro-life", I believe that psychological harm is definitely a considerable, and in some cases, harmful effect of abortion. There has been of women getting horrible nightmares of their children after they have abortion.
