Purpose: To describe the different type of people who go to the gym.
One Friday morning I woke up, rolled out of bed, threw on sweatpants and a t-shirt, and went to the gym. When I got there I realized something I had never noticed before. Over to the left I saw several men grunting, with sweat pouring down their face, struggling to bench press the three huge weights on both sides of the bar. Over to the right I saw a group of girls with tight spandex clothes on, and their make-up done. The girls were giggling with each other as they walked slowly on their treadmills. Their hair was perfect and was bouncing beautifully. Then straight in front of me I saw a group of people who were doing leg curls, and hyperextensions. They were focused and worked with a purpose. They were only concentrating on their workout, no distractions. These athletes go to the gym to get fit or stay in shape. There are three different types of people who go to the gym; bodybuilders, prissy girls, and athletes. .
The first type of person that many would think of going to the gym is the bodybuilder. These "meat heads" go around the gym showing off their huge muscles by walking stiff, with their shoulders wide, and their muscle shirts on. When bodybuilders lift, they draw attention to themselves by grunting and moaning as they lift more weight then they can handle. Another way one can spot a bodybuilder at the gym is by going into the nutrition center. They are the men buying all the weight gainers and protein shakes to enhance their muscles that are already bulging out of their skin. .
Another type of person that goes to the gym is the prissy girl. These are the girls at the gym who always match their clothing. They coordinate their sports bra top with their tight spandex pants. Their hair is in a perfect pony-hair, their make-up is freshly done, and their new manicure looks great. Socializing is the prissy girl's main focus at the gym.
