             There are many challenges faced by aboriginal health care providers in today's society. Most health care providers such as Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses, Special Care Aides, Porters, Clerks face many obstacles in their everyday lives. Among these professions, one of the most complex is nursing. Nurses are faced with many obstacles in their everyday lives as a health provider. They are faced with problems in education, in the work environment with ethnic diversity, and the emotional stress .
             With the amount of people retiring each year in the health care field, the demand for nurses is increasing at an extreme rate. Registered Nurses occupy a highly visible space in the public's view of health care. In many jurisdictions there are not enough RN programs, especially in the southern United States. An expansion of training or distance learning programs would provide access to nursing educations to many prospective Aboriginal RN's who cannot travel for education. Many Aboriginal persons are underrepresented in the nursing workforce. The nursing profession will have the opportunity as well as the responsibility to ensure that the future nursing workforce represents diversity everywhere. With more aboriginal health care providers, as there would be less tension between patients and health professionals, some individuals feel .
             more comfortable with their own ethnicity. Because of cultural diversity, many aboriginals are not encouraged to proceed into post-secondary programs.
             Also many aboriginals come from isolated communities where financial obstacles grow due to the added expenses of relocating and the costs of tuition. There is not enough encouragement in the communities for youth. How are generations supposed to flourish if there is no one there to place support for his or her future. Statistically, 85% of people are more prone to reach their goals with more support from their peers.
