This piece when I saw it hanging up struck me as being hilarious. The nature of how the 2 dogs were depicted as they were playing with the cat made me come to the conclusion that the artist had pets of their own. The way the cat was playing with the dog reminded me of the times my cats and dogs played with one another. The painting really brought a smile to my face. I can't tell you how many times they played with each other. Every time that they do it is something to see. They roll on the floor, they run around the house, and all I do is sit and laugh. These were some good times. It's funny, even though my cats are smaller than my dogs they still put up a good fight. I believe that the myth of dogs and cats hating each other is old. All you need to do is take a look at and watch my cats and dogs play together and you will be convinced that cats and dogs actually like each others company. I think the artist is trying to show just everyday life in this piece that they created, trying to depicted that even the littlest things in life still seem to have fun. .
I have tremendous respect for the artist who painted such a beautiful and masterful work of art. It must have taken a long time of patience to get the nature of the animals captured in the painting.

Who can forget such a beautiful piece of art work. The way how Richards depicts the way the ocean waves" crashing up against the jetty out in the ocean is tremendous. So many thoughts were rolling through my head at the time when I first approached the painting. Yet this painting especially made me think of so many memories of the ocean as to when I was a young child.
