A more active person will even burn more energy while eating than an inactive person. Obesity is linked to many diseases and physchological problems. Many of these problems are very serious and cause many other problems and complications to arise. High blood pressure and high cholesterol are characteristics of obesity. It has been found that obesity significantly increases the chance of a person having a coronary heart attack that could cause death. Obesity has even been linked to heart disease (Mayer, 100-105). Obesity increases the risk of getting some 30 diseases (American Obesity Association). .

Endometrial Cancer- Women are 3 to 4 times more at risk than women with less weight.
Renal Cell Cancer.
Cardiovascular Disease (CVD)-Obesity significantly increase the chance for a heart attack.
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome-Obese are 4 times more likely to develop.
Chronic Venous Insufficiency.

Diabetes (Type 2)-90% of people who have type 2 diabetes are overweight.
