Obesity

 

            The topic, which I will be writhing about, is obesity in America but first I would like to explain a few other topics that deal with eating disorders. Some of these eating disorders are physical some are mental. In today's American society there is and extreme amount of different eating disorders many of which have been brought about by are lifestyles. Some of these eating disorders are natural some are mental. Some these eating disorders are anorexia, bulimia and the most common obesity. Anorexia is when females lose wait to, "condition characterized by intense fear of gaining weight or becoming obese, as well as a distorted body image, leading to an excessive weight loss from restricting food intake and/or excessive exercise ". Bulimia is and eating disorder caused by, "persistent overconcern with body weight and shape leads to repeated episodes of binding (consuming large amounts of food in a short time) associated with induced vomiting, use of laxatives, fasting, and/or excessive exercise to control weight ". The last and most common of these eating disorders is obesity these is when, "an increase in body weight beyond the limitation of body and physical requirement, as a result of an excessive accumulation of fat in the body. ". These are the main types of eating disorders that troubles American society today. There has been and increase of all of them over last 20 years the most common being "obesity".
             Obesity is an abnormal accumulation of adipose tissue other wise none as fat tissue when these increase over 20% of your ideal body weight. People that 20 % over above regular weight, particularly those who have diabetes, hypertension should truly be worried. The people should be the most worried are those considered to have Morbid Obesity that is considered a disease. It is chronic disease with a complex involving both the persons genetic background and environment. .
             In the United States 33 percent of the adult population is obese, compared to 25 percent of Americans in 1980.
