The only concern the Nazi's had was how to kill them easily and in the least amount of time. They decided upon gassing them with hydrogen cyanide or its other form Zyklon B. In total 2,500,000 people were executed at Auschwitz alone, in addition to that another 500,000 died from starvation, disease and neglect, and this was just the amount at one camp. The camps were places not only where Jews were murdered in cold blood, the leveling of the Warsaw Ghetto was yet another place, but by the end of the war nearly 6,000,000 Jews were slaughtered by the Nazis. Gassing was not the only manner in which Hitler used to raise the death toll, poison enemas were used in Nazi hospitals to kill mentally and physically impaired patients who were unable to drink the lethal potions.
You have to wonder who allowed such a thing to have happened to those 6,000,000 Jews. They did nothing wrong they were law biding citizens who were trying to make a living just like anyone of their fellow citizens. Could it be those other citizens that the blame could be placed on? They did allow Hitler to gain power and maintain it, so therefore they were responsible for Nazism. Although they did support Hitler most of the electorate did not know Hitler had any of this planned, as well as most of the voters were ignorant and blinded by the propaganda. Furthermore, even after Hitler started all this, individuals were not be able to stop Hitler. He was far to powerful and the individuals would now have the same fate as the Jews or other people in the concentration camps. The Jew haters lived and thrived off the propaganda. They initially may not have disliked Jews but after people like Joseph Goebbels who instilled in the people who knew no better, that the cause of Germany's hardship, were the Jews and the unfairness of the Versaille Treaty. .
All this led to bitterness, furthermore the ordinary Germans can not be really blamed, since they were led like a heard of sheep, They just didn't know better.
