Many people have eating habits or diets that turn into eating disorders, because it is a way of escaping the daily pressures of life they live. People who have eating disorders no longer enjoy the food they eat or once used to love. They also don't allow themselves to provide their bodies with the nutrition it needs to survive. It is in the teenage years that usually eating disorders start. Teenagers are under a lot of pressure to be thin and they feel they need to fit in the size clothing of a model or famous people on TV. Teenagers get this feeling from their peers, their families and the society of how they really should look. Teenage girls grow up feeling that a Barbie doll is the way all girls should be like and they have to have the tiny waist, big breasts, long legs and beyond that be thin. They are led to believe that the only way they can be accepted and fit in this world, are if they are thin and look like all the models and movie stars that are always shown on TV or in magazines. When we see how models and famous people look; we feel depressed, stressed, we feel insecure and we find dissatisfaction with our bodies, just because we don't look like all the famous people.
