Baseball has been my life for almost seventeen years now. So baseball and me go hand and hand it seems like. I"m not sure what I would do with out baseball in my life. For so long it has been my life. The reason I started playing the sport in my brother played it and I wanted to be like him. My brother was someone I looked up to and when I saw him playing the sport I wanted to play it as well. So I can think my brother for letting me see what has become my life. .
Now, it all started when I was four years old in a small town called Middleburg. Middleburg is where I played for 12 years of my life. I have had so many great memories at that ball park. Times from throwing no hitters and hitting game winning homeruns to making that great defensive play to win games. So as you can see baseball has been the biggest part of my life. I also want to tell you that the game of baseball is a life lesson in it self. It teaches you discipline and patience along with gratitude. While playing baseball it takes courage and a lot of heart. You might not believe it but baseball is mostly a mental game. It is won in the head.
While playing baseball I have won championships such as the district titles in high school to national championships in A.A.U baseball which is an organization. I have been accustomed to being on great teams and I think that helps me in my everyday life. I have traveled all over the nation playing ball so I have seen a lot of things and I think that has opened my eyes about life. It let me see what was out their in the world. I have seen how team work and being apart of something great can change you as a person. It opens your eyes and makes you see what can be done if you believe in your self and in your teammates. To me it is just such a great feeling knowing that you have just done something you never really thought about. Like winning that national title we never really believed we were good enough until we started to see how good we were playing against other great teams.
