American Airlines needs to be concerned with how well other airlines are doing; what kind of marketing are they making to lure and keep consumers from using their airline. How can American Airlines increase the number of consumers and build brand loyalty and equity?.
             Who can offer the best price right now to get more people to fly?.
             Economic Environment: The state of the macro economy and changes in it can offer marketing opportunities and constraints. Inflation and unemployment can be limiting to the size of the market that can afford certain products. Theses factors can also bring about a profit opportunity for other products. American Airlines is most likely very concerned with this environment at the time. Airline ticket sales have decreased considerably because of the recent events that have taken toll on the country. The economy is very fragile right now and many consumers don't want to fly. Ticket prices have gone down as a cause of these recent events. This is a way of trying to get consumers to fly again. .
             Social Environment: General cultural, social traditions, norms, and attitudes. Changes in these factors can offer an opportunity for new products and services. Here, American Airlines needs to consider the needs and wants of the consumer. They need to evaluate each flight, what kind of individuals will be taking this flight, and how can they accommodate these people? The attitude of the flight will most likely be reflected in the attitude of the consumer. .
             Political Environment: deals with actual environmental and health issues; unsafe products, pollutants, wasting resources, unethical sales issues.
