How To Build A Computer Under $2500

For the two of these I paid a total of $20.98.
From the start I knew I wanted DDR ram and I had to pick a motherboard to take it. DDR ram is one of the fastest ram cards because it travels up and down not just one way. The ram to fit my motherboard was DDR 2100 one of the most commonly used ram. I decided that if I was going to get that ram I would get a one gigabyte of ram, because when I upgrade I can most likely use that ram over and I would never run out of ram with one gigabyte. I got two 512 sticks of ram a total cost of $89.98.
The video card was another thing I decided was something I would use in my computer when I up grade. I got an nVidia GeForce 4 MX440 with 128MB on board ram, and TV out. This came with a 1 year parts and labor warranty. I got this video card for $49.99. .
I only needed one more thing to make it and actual computer, the hard drive. I got a Western Digital 20 gigabyte 7200RPM hard drive. I only got a 20 gigabyte HD because of price and I knew I was going to get a CD burner. I figured that I could always buy another HD latter when I have more money and need more space. The HD was only $59.99.
I had all the things needed to have a computer but I needed a CD-Rom drive to install anything so that was next on my list. I bought an Internal CD-RW, which included Nero software. I got a fast burner so that I could have more time to study rather than look at a little blue line go across the screen. The speed was 52X/24X/52X this means that it reads at 52X, writes at 24X, and rewrites at 52X. The burner costed me $49.99. .
Even though floppy drives are outdated I decide to get one any way. Floppy drives are no longer needed because CD-RW's are so fast its just like putting stuff on a floppy disk. I got it because there are people out their who still use them and I still have some old information that I might want to pull off a floppy disk some day. The floppy disk costed me $14.
