Dreams are thought to be fun for people, but studies that have been done show .
Studies were done with dreams interpretation the ones .
who volunteered for the study had a more positive look on dreams. (Hill, Diemer, .
Heaton, 1997). It was said that with training classes to increase ones dream recall .
may higher their ability to recall their dreams. Studies that have been dine were on .
subjects who were already motivated so now the question is weather the p[people .
who are not motivated with dreams have the capacity to increase their level of dream .
recall. So a study was conducted with two purposed: 1) Dream recall and attitudes .
toward dreams or 2) dream interpretation skills on dream recall, attitudes towards .
dreams and outcome of dream interpretation sessions. To conduct this study they .
used methods, measures and procedure.
The method was the way in which they found their participants. There were 42 .
volunteered undergraduate students who had a below average level in dream recall .
and attitude towards dreams.
There were two 25 year old master level students, and one 21 year old .
undergraduate who were the trainers for the study. Along with then were 14 .
counseling and clinical psychology students as the therapists. These people are what .
made up the team to conduct the study.
With measure they used many types of questions and ways to perform the .
study, and one way was a demographic questionnaire. This was where questions .
were asked about ones self, and during this two questions about drams were asked. The .
participants were also asked to keep a dream diary in which they recorded their .
dreams and reacted them. To find out the attitude one had toward dreams it was .
asked by questions that were answered true or false, and an explanation question. .
Also a questionnaire was given to grade the training for participants. This was to .
determined .
if the trainers were helping the study out properly.
