             WWE's core assets are their wrestlers. Solid brand recognition for character such as "The Rock" or "Stone Cold Steve Austin" are extremely valuable; one need only look how WWE's stock has tanked since these two wrestlers" retirement. Therefore, WWE's management must take every possible opportunity to discover new talent. This is a strategic problem that management faces continuously due to the short career span of wrestlers. Wrestlers" careers can be cut short at any time due to injury, death, or lack of firing (most often due to low fan base). Many times the wrestlers are simply "worn-out". Lets take a minute to talk about a wrestler's daily lifestyle and how one breaks into the business.
             Wrestling had become tremendously popular over the past few years. So it is natural that more and more people want to become wrestlers. Most want to do it for the fame, money, or extremely exciting lifestyle. Well, wrestlers are famous, they do make a lot of money, and their lives are pretty exciting. The average person doesn't know what a wrestler's life is really like. They don't realize how much work and dedication they need to become successful. Being a wrestler may seem glamorous, but it is extremely difficult to break into.
             Probably the biggest misconception about wrestling is how many times someone must work. People base this on how many times they see wrestlers on TV, what people don't see are all the house shows. House shows are wrestling events that are not televised. The average wrestler actually works the ring about 4-5 times per week for an average two to three hour show.
             There is also the aspect of life on the road. The daily schedule of a professional wrestler can be grueling. One wakes up at around 7 am in order to be at the airport by 8:30. The flight can take you anywhere in the country but usually lands no later than 11 o"clock. After renting a car, checking into a hotel room, and grabbing something to eat, it is time to go to the photo shoot scheduled for 1 pm.
