One of the scariest days of my life was a very exciting and adventurous one. It was a normal night for my family and I. It was a cold winter night in February, (February 14, 1994 to be exact) we were all snuggled up in the basement watching television. I went upstairs to use the restroom. When I finished I notice that I had some blood in my urine. I didn't know what to think! (Keep in mind that you don't learn about sex education until that spring of your fifth grade year and it was only February.) So I went to my room to think about what exactly I was going to say to my mom. To be honest with you I thought I was pregnant but obviously when you"re eleven you don't know exactly how things work, but now I know that I was just thinking like an average eleven-year-old. After about fifteen minutes of thinking what I was going to tell my mom, I slowly started to walk down to the basement. I went up to my mom and whispered in her ear, "Mom I've got blood in my pee! Am I ok?" She gave me a weird look and started giggling. She told me to come with her upstairs so that she can talk to me for a minute, little did I know that she was going to explain to me everything I needed to know to be an adult. I will never forget this experience I had. I look back today and think it is the funniest thing that has ever happened to me.
