1) The theme of the film was sacrifice and innocent error. The theme was basically what the film makers were trying to tell the viewers. I thought that they did a good job in conveying the message because it showed through there actions. For example, Danny and Rafe both loved Evelyn, but Rafe let Danny have her and sacrificed his love for her for Danny. They were also both made and honest mistake because they didn't do each other wrong because they wanted to, but because of their hearts and misconception.
2) The main characters in the film were Rafe, Danny, and Evelyn. Rafe and Danny grew up together has best friends and watched out for each other through thick and thin. They both joined the military and Rafe always looked out for Danny, never letting him do anything dangerous. Evelyn was intermingled in with the friendship when she and Rafe fell in love; and when Rafe supposedly died, Danny and Evelyn fell in love. In the end she marries Rafe and has Danny's baby because Danny died. Ben Affleck played Rafe McCawley, Josh Hartnett played Danny Walker, and Katie Beckinsale played Evelyn Johnson.
5) This film enhanced my understanding of Pearl Harbor because it gave me a visual .
aid of how the army wasn't ready when the Japanese pilots flew in and started .
bombing. It also showed me how they prepared quickly when it happened. I also .
learned about the life style of the soldiers and nurses. There life style was very .
unstable and unsure.
8) The best part of the movie was when Danny and Rafe were pretending to drive .
the plane and they actually flew it because it was exciting and they were both .
happy. It foreshadowed their enrolling in the army and becoming pilots. That was .
when there friendship didn't have any tribulations and played together without a .
concern.
9) One action scene I thought was great was when the black guy stood up for .
himself.
