My Role Model

We are all affected by people around us, such as our teachers, favorite actors, friends, or even the people we often meet at bus stops. There is one person, Benoit, who has influenced me for the better, especially in my social attitude toward other people, my physical appearance and my hopes of aspirations.
Thanks to Benoit, I am finally a normal student who pays attention to my social life. When I entered French class the first time, I was embarrassed and hostile before my classmates, because I thought that everyone was better than me. I concentrated my activities in my study in order that I forgot to be an ashamed student in the class. It was Benoit who pulled me from this depression. He told me that education was not my only future; I could not survive alone inside my text-books. Then, I changed my attitude toward my classmates. I began to care about their school problems and I engaged in conversation with them. In return for my change, they became generous with me, as if I had has their friend all along. Benoit made me understand that before changing someone, you must change yourself. 2.
In addition, he also changed my physical appearance. He could not modify my face or my stature, but he could make me different physically. When I was a high school student, I wanted not to dress varied clothes; my hair was kept up with an unchangeable chignon. One day, he found out that I was not comfortable with myself. In fact, I did not think that I could please my classmates if I dressed differently. I thought that I would just be a clown or a laughingstock of people. On the contrary, it was not what happened when Benoit and his dramatic art classmates saw me with long hair. He even interested in my new dress style. After his encouraging attitude, I felt more attached to my classmates than before, I had finally a common subject to talk with them: the fashion.
