She proves to be a good investigator, and when illness of outstanding proportions start showing up in a area surrounded by a water treatment plant she really starts digging. The problem Erin has is she's like a dog with a bone. Once she starts she can't stop. Even when it affected her relationship with her boyfriend she just couldn't stop.
When the courts make the lawsuit more difficult she doesn't give up. When the attorneys take over her investigation she still didn't stop. To date she is involved in similar lawsuits, and when her children as teenagers had substance abuse problems she didn't give up. She found the nest treatment available and placed them.
