Another type of bomb is a logic bomb that is set to activate when a certain task is performed. These bombs may be a virus, worm or a malicious software code. Rabbit's are worms that constantly duplicate throughout a computer system until it eventually shuts down the system. All of these can be blocked by the McAfee scan but it is not always the best choice. As a manager I would have to choose the best scanning program that would fit the assessment of the company's budget and the risk of the threats. I would also have to recommend that the virus scan is updated as soon as possible and that a firewall is put into operation. .
             Prevention:.
To take care of this problem many companies or individuals, such as myself, can download a program called McAfee Virus Scan. I recently had to update my McAfee virus scan because a virus attacked my computer. I had not been keeping up on updating my virus scanner and was attacked by the Nimda virus by opening an unknown attachment. This program scans all ingoing or outgoing information for any types of viruses. The only problem that may occur is that people are able to invent new viruses every so a big part of the management team's security measures is that they must make sure their virus protection is updated monthly or whenever an update is available. A firewall is another way to prevent your system from receiving a virus. A firewall limits network access to system information. This security method may seem expensive to some companies but to others it is cheap when you assess the amount of information that could be corrupted or even lost. I would also have to recommend that the virus scan is updated as soon as possible and that a firewall is put into operation. .
             Unintentional Threats: .
Unintentional threats and physical threats are two threats that may not be avoidable. Unintentional threats can be protected against to a small extent. Software malfunction, where a computer may lock up, can be taken care of by random backups that the system can do on its own.
