Confucious

 

Confucius opened a school of thought, where he would teach his disciple to love learning and to be kind to man as they wish all men to be. This was the beginning of the story of his life teachings now called, The Analects, which were compiled by his followers after his death in an attempt to keep his teachings alive. In these writings are thought after thought that can make men be great. .
             "When you see a good man, try to emulate his example, and when you see a bad man, search yourself for his faults.".
             This quote and many others like it state the belief of Confucius, and his moral character that have taught many people, and still live on in today's society. This was the beginning of Confucius" teachings of benevolence and attempts to teach self-improvement of a man through the love of learning from others. .
             Confucius went through life thinking that he was a complete failure, and thinking that his teachings went unheard. He believed that the entire world was a school and one can learn from every person and needed to do so to become great. In Confucius" mind there is no reason to live if you do not take the time to think for themselves and truly understand the meaning of words. In this journey toward absolute greatness man is thought of in different terms, based on the level at which they exist. The highest level of thought was called sage. Though, Confucius himself would have been astonished if he was to come across someone with this divine sense of understanding to the world and all people. The understanding that Confucius was said to have and portray himself as was that of a complete man. This is some one that is not afraid of putting themselves in the face of danger and should not hold any other man to a virtue that he is not willing to accept. Confucius believed that it would be a long difficult struggle that would not come with out years of disciplined, hard work, and belief.
