Business Plan

Personalize It! is established as a general partnership so that both partners have the right to participate as co-owners and are both individually liable for the business's highs and lows. Both partners equally invested their time and money into the future success of creative card making.
Through careful planning on the part of the owners, the start-up costs for Personalize It! are minimal. A majority came from assets saved from prior earnings by the owners who did card making on a part-time basis before establishing themselves as a business.
Personalize It!, although young, draws from the age old tradition of going above and beyond what is expected every time. We employ local young adult or college students who have to desire to be the best at what they do. So, as a result we give back to the community by providing jobs outside of our organization.
Hallmark is our biggest competitor. They have a reputation of having a wide variety of styles, sizes, and messages all for a reasonable price. Hallmark is a household name to the majority of the community, however, they do not provide the personal attention that we are able to provide. Personalize It! strives on working hands on with its customer to create a card that is one of a kind.
Our target consumers are middle to upper-middle class families, couples, individuals, or private organizations. We preferred these groups because they are most able to afford our product and have the least amount of time to spare. The fast paced world we live in leaves little time for the working class people to do everything and make it personal. Personalize It! relieves these people from the hours spent writing out holiday cards or money spent on expensive non-personal invitations.
This business will be a business run from home. We will use our computers and equipment from home; no real business office is needed. Hopefully, we will have enough business to have to hire extra workers.
