I know it is a lot harder to make them from scratch but in the long run, the taste is rewarding enough. .
To make these cookies you will first need to go to the store. You will need a small bag of flour, a small box of salt, and a small box of brown sugar. Two sticks of butter are a must as well as a carton of eggs. The last of the ingredients are: a small bottle of vanilla extract, a 12oz. bag of chocolate chips, and a small box of baking soda not powder. I sometimes get them confused and it ruins the cookies. You will also need a large mixing bowl, a small mixing bowl, a quality mixing spoon and a baking sheet. For measuring purposes, you will need a measuring cup, a trusty set of measuring spoons, a spatula and a timer. The last major instrument is the stove to cook the cookies, if it wasn't obvious enough already.
The first thing to do is pre-heat the oven to 375* Fahrenheit. This is done so when the batter is finished, you can begin cooking. You should then measure out 2 ¼ cups of flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, and a teaspoon of salt. You next need to combine the three in the small mixing bowl. Set this flour mixture aside.
