" To recover from overproduction, production must be temporarily halted whilst productive forces are destroyed, or new markets must be found. That is, the bourgeoisie must decrease the speed of the industries it constantly tries to accelerate. "The weapons with which the bourgeoisie felled feudalism to the ground are now turned against the bourgeoisie itself.".
             The bourgeoisie has also created the proletariat: the modern working class, the wage laborer, and the oppressed. With work constantly being replaced by the machinery produced by the bourgeoisie, the proletariat must struggle to find a decent job and earn enough money to survive in the bourgeois society. The machine has stripped away from the hands of the proletariat the need for skill or talent in his work. A man becomes an extension of the machine, and nothing is needed from him but some simple knack that requires no development or special training.
             The communists are not a party opposed to other working class parties, and have no interests separate from the proletariat as a whole. They are distinguished from other working-class parties because:.
             1. In the struggles of proletarians of different countries, they point out the interests of the whole proletariat, regardless of nationality.
             2. In the developing stages of the struggle of the working class against the bourgeoisie, they always represent the interests of the proletariat as a whole.
             They are, therefore, "the most advanced and resolute section of the working-class parties of every country, that section which pushes forward all others." Their aim is the formation of the proletariat into a class, and the overthrow of the bourgeois supremacy.
             The distinguishing feature of communism is the abolition of bourgeois private property, the "complete expression of the system of producing and appropriating products, that is based on class antagonisms, on the exploitation of the many by the few.
