A Weighty Issue

In the state of Massachusetts, there is a law that makes it illegal for anyone to consume more than three sandwiches at a wake. Who knows for sure why this law is in effect, but one theory is this, when people are depressed they tend to eat more, thus consuming more calories, which in turn, will eventually lead to an increase in weight.              up with them." On the Vascular Disease Institute and Obesity Surgery Center website, it is.
stated, "Severely obese persons are approximately six times as likely to develop heart disease.
as those who are normal-weighted." The site also proceeds to state, "Obese persons are ten times as likely to develop Type II, Adult-Onset, Diabetes. Diabetes is the leading cause of adult-onset blindness, a major cause of kidney failure, and the cause of over one half of all amputations.
