The Terror of Terrorism

This is dangerous because it forces us to not think about the reasons that caused them to commit these crimes. It causes people to not want to negotiate with them and forms a picture in their mind of people that can not be reasoned with. Also, the fears of the citizens are used to force us to believe that we want to fight back and not let them get away with what they did. Using "terrorism" as a rhetoric label "masks political agendas which may have dubious motivations.".
Using the word "terrorism" is not only dangerous because it is used politically as a rhetoric device, but it is also dangerous because it tends to increase terrorism. There are four reasons given to prove this. Firstly, it intensifies the fear of citizens affected by the terrorism. By making the terrorists look like "arbitrary irrational beings" it makes the citizens more afraid. Secondly, after the terrorist attack occurs the government uses "revenge and retaliation." This might be called "retaliation" or "counter-terrorism" to us, but for others it might be looked upon as terrorism. Thirdly, revenge for terrorist acts only leads to a vicious circle of violence and can result in further support for the so-called terrorists. Fourthly, those who use terrorism as a label and do nothing to understand the cause of their actions bring more terrorism. If they are aware of the fact that this will lead to more terrorism, then, they themselves are also guilty. .
Based on all of which is presented above, assuming all is true, it clearly supports the fact that using the label "terrorism" is unhelpful and extremely dangerous. If in fact all the premises are true, it means that the conclusion must also be true because there is no way it can have false premises and a true conclusion.
When speaking about the content of this article, one must check for three things. First, one must check to see if the premises are clear. If the premises are clear, it should be in terms that the audience understands.
