My primary reason for returning to school is to further my education and increase my opportunity for advancement within my organization. The present is a better time than any if I wish to obtain my Bachelors degree. I am considered by myself and others around me to be committed and determined. Once I enrolled, I knew the rest, as they say, was history and the challenge had begun. Upon completion of my education, I will be ultimately more marketable and will obtain the qualifications and knowledge that will enhance my skill sets for advancement. To achieve this, certain goals need to be carried out while I am in school.

Time management is essential since I also need to be a good mother, a wife, and manage my career. Timeliness and close attention to detail will be a priority for success, not only while in school, but also for future endeavors. Achieving excellent grades and excelling in classes that I know will challenge me will take time, dedication and extraordinary effort on my part since I will need to balance the multi-tasked life that faces me. .
In Corporate America today, communicating via e-mail and through memos is the primary way of communicating with co-workers and clients; therefore developing my written communication skills is essential. Focusing on advanced writing skills, so that I will be able to write a professional document, e-mail or memo to my co-workers and the document will be be clear, concise, and directly to the point. I do not want to have to clarify key points. I do not want to have to read and re-read an e-mail numerous times before sending it to make sure everything is perfect; it should not come off as pompous and inappropriate or unclear. Concentrating on my oral communications skills is important. I no longer want to stand in front of a room full of my peers and be intimidated. I want to be calm, collected, well organized, focused and confident. I want to "wow" my audience.
