To Protect And Serve

"Is this your vehicle?" the cop asked me rudely.
"Yes," I replied, "Well, actually it's my dad's, but I drive it.".
"You've got some explaining to do then.".
The cop was a large man, standing maybe an inch over six feet tall. He was fat and round, and he reminded me of Humpty Dumpty. The way he was dressed just screamed 'undercover cop.' He had on tight Gitano jeans and one of those glossy purple jackets that little league coaches wear. His sneakers were so bright and white that only an undercover cop would be seen in them. His partner was shorter than him, much shorter. I'd be surprised if he was any taller than five foot three. He was kind of stocky, though, and I could tell he was short tempered simply from the look on his face. He was wearing stone-washed jeans that looked like something Bon Jovi would be wear, with a jacket similar to that of the other cop. A pair of handcuffs hung from his back pocket.
We were in a small parking lot behind the where I parked to attend my school's football game that night. I had been coming back to my truck to go home when these two cops approached me.
"What is this doing in your truck?" he asked, pointing his flashlight into the open door at a large glass beer bottle marked "Old English," which was sitting right on the bench seat to my truck. .
"That wasn't there when I left my truck." I said, knowing that they would probably would not believe me, even though I was telling the truth. "What were you doing snooping through my dad's truck?".
"We found two girls sitting in it. They looked suspicious so I came over to see what they were up to. They said they were waiting for you to give them a ride home. I told them you were in trouble and to find a ride from somebody else. So tell me, what's an 17-year-old doing with booze in his car?".
"I told you," I said, becoming frustrated, "that isn't mine.".
"Oh come on, did the alcohol fairy just put that in there?" he asked with a dumb look on his face.
