prison would never be able to get back out the real world. Many of the three strikes law offenders are non-violent and the sentence they get is twenty-five years to life. It seems to be way out of proportion. It seems reasonable to sentence violent offenders with it but the offenders that are non-violent do they really want to hold them in? prison so they are getting older for nothing. The three strikes law wants to hold anybody with two serious or violent felony convictions can be sent to prison for twenty-five years to life on any third conviction, no matter how insignificant. Through the end of February 1500 felons have been sentenced to the third strikes conviction. Over 15000 had been convicted for second-strikes. Only twenty-five percent of three strikers were offenses for violent crimes against people. That's not even half. Thirty-eight percent went for crimes against property, twenty-two percent went in drug related third strikes and another ten percent went in for weapons violations. Our prisons are going to be filled with people who are not violent offenders. I think if there not violent then they should get more than three strikes.

Especially the criminals who commit sexual and violent crimes should be locked up forever so they could never harm anyone again.
