Isn't it beautiful?- It was such an obvious question; standing still on the ground, Sean gave Calvin a sarcastic smile and nodded his head. Of course it's beautiful. Towering in one of the most luxurious housing districts, "Pine Tree- was an eye- catcher to the passers- by. There was no way anyone could resist the beauty of the house. Absolutely not!.
The house was framed with top quality wood imported from Australia, with a taste of English lifestyle. The building has a complex gable and the roof was covered in cedar shingles and the exterior wall covered in clapboards. A three- storey tower located on the front fazade made the house look more prominent. A broad porch extended across the front fazade, detailed with decorative brackets, railing and porch roof. Frieze panels with carved patterns of laurel surrounded the house. The patterns were painted in green to accent the white finish of the house. Below the roof, supported by pillars with decorative brackets carved with flowers, were casement doors with large panes of clear glass bordered on the top and bottom panels of small colored glass panes. .
"Oh, how I wish I could buy that,"" murmured Calvin. .
"Haha You must be joking! How are you going to pay for it? You are just a sales assistant and your life savings can't even pay for the deposit,"" sneered Sean, who worked in a multinational company as a director.
Calvin was red in his face and fuming but he contained his anger. He was more than determined to prove to Sean that nothing is impossible and that dreams can always become real. He looked at the majesty of the house in silence for a moment before making his way back home.
Every evening, Calvin would purposely take a longer route home and take a minute or two to admire the house. As he had been a very loyal and efficient employee for the past year or so, he was promoted to a sales director in no time. Of course the wages was way higher than the initial wages.
