Strokes

A stroke is simply defined as a brain attack. It is a cerebrovascular disease, meaning it affects parts of the brain which can effect the way your body works, and the way you think. A stroke occurs when the blood flow to the brain is cut off or clogged. The reason is because the brain needs a constant flow of blood. When the flow is disrupted, a stroke is lurking in the distance. The blood cells in your brain start to starve for the blood. The cells around it face danger also. The hunger spreads throughout the brain until all of the cells are dead. It only takes a few minutes for each cell to die one they have been affected. There is a slower process called secondary injury, that allows the brain cells to live for a few hours. The only solution to these problems is early treatment.
