As I think of stress I usually assume it is a bad thing, but in fact that's not the way it is most of the time. The denotation of stress is the body's response to any demand. There are many things that cause stress in our everyday lives and each individual will react to it in their own way. No matter how it is dealt with though, there is always some psychological or physiological change or reaction to it. What is most important though is a persons capacity to deal with their stresses in a healthy manner. .
There are three basic response categories to stress. The first would be emotional. The second behavioral and the third physiological. All three expressed in very different ways.
Emotional stress is how we feel. We all have both positive and negative feelings, but they can be a good experience to help our development depending on how we handle them.
Behavioral stress is when stress affects how you perform at specific tasks. Some psychologists believe that some stress is best for higher quality than low or high stress levels. At lower stress levels people tend to lack stimulation to do anything. Higher stress levels tend to produce more frantic behavior, more so even if the task at hand is complex.

Stress is common to people of all ages so it is important to understand it and ways to keep it in control as much as possible. If you are a stressed out person you may have health consequences to pay for it. Stress can lower your immune system making you more prone to illness. It even can contribute to the six major causes of death in the U.S. and other diseases as well. When people hold their stress in their autonomic levels, which controls function of the glands and body organs, goes up. That can lead to blood pressure problems and other sicknesses. .
