Phobias & Stress

My sister quickly got the broom from the kitchen and started to direct the cat towards the back door. As soon as my .
sister came back, she noticed that my left cheek was bleeding, the ugly furry black cat scratched me and now I'm scarred for life. Another time I can remember having a bad experience with a cat is when I was playing in park with some friends, when all of a sudden a white and gray house cat was got lose from a nearby residence; it ran straight towards me. I instantly jumped out of the sandbox and ran directly for the monkey bars to get away from it. I remember climbing up the monkey bars as fast as possible and sitting at the top until my mother came and helped me down. Still to this day, I ask myself why that cat ran straight for me and not for anyone else. I have come to the conclusion that they are really out to get me and not anyone else.
Ever since these as well as countless other incidents, I have always been afraid of cats. It does not make a difference weather they are stray cats, house cats, or even wild zoo cats. In general I have always been afraid of them. Even to this day, I can recall many times where just the sight of a cat has made me scream at the top of my lungs. I realize that it shouldn't be such a big deal, because it is just a cat, but I feel no one can ever understand why it is so hard for me to overcome. I have tried many times to control my fear, however ever single time I am instantly taken back to all of the bad experiences I have suffered from since my childhood till now. I will defiantly continue to try and overcome my fear, even though I see it as a very difficult task.
I think my other issue is very common among all people all types of people. I feel that stress is definitely an issue with everyone because people always have so many things to do in everyday life, and so little time to do it all. Personally in my case, I deal with stress in three major areas almost everyday of my life.
