             Through the required readings and additional research it has been presented that the HR industry has several challenges placed before its professionals. Specifically within the readings I believe that the social and environmental issues are top priority to the HR managers. Within the social aspect of challenges there are diversity issues and concerns within the workplace environment encompassing for instance Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO). For the other challenges as technology, and competitive demands will be the focus for the future. The true challenge is for HR managers to stay abreast of these challenges and strategize their process to benefit the organizations and their employees in the long run.
             It has been more than 35 years since the civil rights movement - however there is still a lack of direction placed on the opportunities for minorities. Within the United States blacks and Hispanics hold less than 2% of executive positions. Such diversity has become commonplace worldwide. Cultures and ethics have set place within organizations and the most effective solution has been to customize to these diverse environments and procedures to allow for the best possible outcome within the firm. This includes the dedication and quality of work that would be performed for the organizations long-term benefits. Originally diversity entailed having a proper equal employment opportunity policy in place. Now this has become more detailed and may include restructuring an organizations procedures and activities to include different attitudes and as mentioned ethics.
             According to the reading good ethics should result in high performance and competitive advantage. That is not to say that that is the norm, however by pursuing such methods of good ethics an organization will be better equipped to deal with challenges of the future and the issues of those challenges that will be addressed in the following pages (p.
