Good Will Hunting

Good Will Hunting is a down-to-earth, compelling story about an intellectually gifted orphan who is struggling to find his place in life.
Good Will Hunting was directed by Gus Van Sant in 1997 starring Matt Damon (Saving Private Ryan), Ben Affleck (Pearl Harbour) , Minnie Driver and Robin Williams (Patch Adams). Other films by Van Sant such as My Own Private Idaho (1991) or the remake of Alfred Hitchock's Psycho does not even come close to Good Will hunting's brilliant screen-play. .
Will Hunting (Matt Damon) is a young South Boston orphan with a troubled childhood and also had dangerous clashes with the law. However he is an undeniable genius. He has a photographic memory and can skim through books at no longer than a page a second. His historical knowledge is unparalleled; he is especially gifted in the world of Mathematics. He can baffle top grade Harvard students with ease. He is a silent genius who works as a janitor at the most prestigious technologically advanced university in the world, The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). A mathematical theorem, which took Professor Gerald Lambeau (Stellan Skarsgard) and his team two years to prove, was placed on the main corridor chalkboards as a contest for the "gifted" students of MIT, yet Will was able to prove it with only a glance during his daily rounds as the janitor. .
Incidentally at the same time, Will was convicted of assaulting a police officer which he is faced with serving hard time with a heavy bail. Lambeau pleads with the judge to let him off under his supervision, under two conditions; to exercise his mathematically genius with Professor Lambeau and to meet with a therapist to maintain his stability towards the law. From here onwards is where the story truly begins to unfold. .
Will Hunting is faced with something greater than advanced Chaos Mathematics, something so incomprehensible that the all mighty Will Hunting cannot solve on his own, human emotions.
