Fireweed

 

There was a bomb siting in his aunts yard. "They have all be sent to the shelter down the street" a soldier watching the the house told him. Bill got scared and didn't have anywhere t!.
             o go. He stayed at the shelter for a few nights until finding Julie. After eating their breakfast they decided they would stick together so they wouldn't be lonely and since Julie had more money then Bill, who was out of money, thought it was best. They would spend their nights sleeping at the Aldwych Underground Station, and during the day they would take long walks a have picnics in the parks that were still intact. They both watch the city fall apart each day.
             One night as Bill and Julie where getting ready for bed they noticed a strange man wandering around the shelter. They both got very scared when he started to question them, so they picked up their things and ran, of course he ran after them, but Bill and Julie didn't want to take any chances of being separated. They headed for the shelter down the street, once again they tried to get ready for bed and Julie noticed a women who she had known coming around checking things. She became very scared and insisted that they leave. Bill of course went along with whatever she said so she would be happy.As they went upstairs all they heard was loud gun fires and bomb going off, Bill nor Julie wanted to be out there but they didn't want to get separated. They decided to spend a few nights in the next town. As They were crossing the bridge the noises just got louder and as they were half way across there was a big explosion. Both of them were pushed up against the rail. That frightened them very much. As they crossed the bridge they noticed all the dead people laying on the streets. They were afraid of what they have seen and what they just saw. After about a week Bill got home sick and wanted to go back to the firmilier side of London. So the headed back over the bridge to Bill's Aunt's house .
