Feeling and Thinking

Where does my money go? After watching the Stossel video in class, I have been asking myself that question frequently. How does the government misplace seven point six trillion dollars in tax money? I, as a taxpayer, am appalled by this factor. It is true that our government has a monopoly over us all. Every bit we do government is involved. I would rather make a difference in life than having to sit around waiting for government to control my life.
One issue I feel that we need to think about before trusting our government is the seven point six trillion dollars all of a sudden disappearing. This lack of responsibility is very frustrating. I think after this event happening I will be careful about whom I vote for.
What about the little Indians the government was suppose to be taking care of? The unemployment rate there is eighty percent. It is the highest unemployment rate in the nation. That is why the Indians were dependant on the government giving them grants. This outraged me. Who in their minds would be so careless as to just have these Indians live how they are? There needs to be some initiative action taken here.

Also our government says certain things cannot be done, for example, the rusted pipes were supposedly "unfixable". One entrepreneur changed that. He fixed the grungy old pipes to shiny new ones. People like these really stand out and make a difference in the world. My attitudes toward competition are positive. We should not let government have a monopoly over our innocent lives. Even the construction workers that were hired by government and went on to working for private companies say it has more of an advantage. They work harder and are not lazy as to working for the government.
Overall, we as Americans need to be aware of who takes care of our hard earned money. I am glad that I had a chance to watch John Stossel's video, because now I know that I need to keep a look out on how my money is spent.
