Have you ever had pass due bills, Landlords hassling you about last months rent, and needed to get a turn paper finished all at the same time, then you are probrobly living off campus. Well if you have encountered any of these three mishaps, then your probrobly living off campus. Today I am here to talk about the disadvantages of living in an apartment, and the advantages of living in a dorm. I was able to deeply observe both of these situations because the past Summer I lived in an apartment and this semester I am staying in a dorm. .
Now from a few of my past experiences of living in an apartment this Summer I can list a few drawbacks of living off campus. First of all there is rent. By pricing the apartments around Mississippi State Campus it is not cheap, and if you are ever late with your rent, you now have to worry about you landlord hassling you. Now this is not including the bills you will have to pay. You have your water bill, light bill, phone bill, and if you like watching television you also have your cable bill. Oh yes, if you like to eat you will also need to buy groceries. Now with your light bill you have to be conservative with how long you leave your electricity on. Now how do you plan on concentrating on studying when you are worried about how long you can keep your lights on? Now with your water bill, you know what this means, short showers. Hell you may have to get out the shower before the water gets hot. With your phone bill you better limit your calls to just your parents, and every !.
time you call them I suggest that you beg for money. Cable bill I should not have even mentioned that, because you are going to be too busy working. Oh I forgot about that, yes you are going to need a job. So now instead of worrying about school and your bills, you also have to worry about getting a job, getting a job that pays enough, and trying to keep your job. Wait I forgot, how are you going to get there.
