A week ago when I first arrived at the bridge program, it did not make sense to me on why and for what purpose I was here for. I was certain that I"d be successful in college without any help or preparation such as the Bridge program. At first I felt, scoring below average on the American College Testing was the only prime reason I was told to attend the Bridge program, and when I got a letter from DePaul saying I should attend Bridge, I was reluctant on whether attending Bridge would be the best decision I would make and not sure if that's what I wanted to do.
Today even though it's been only a week since I have been in Bridge, I have a totally different perspective about the program and my decision on being here. I am much more focused on studies than I ever was in high-school, I am not worried anymore on not having any ideas on how to start my papers or being stuck on a certain assignment because, I know the meetings with my tutor will help me hand in the best work I was ever capable doing. Even tough, I had a different feeling on the study sessions earlier, Now I also feel that it is a great way to ensure that we are all doing our work on time and are focused on studies because, without it I am certain I would never have given up my old high-school way of procrastinating. So far the Bridge program has been a great experience and I have no regrets on making my decision to attend it.
