Brave New World

 

            
             This society is organized for the pleasure of the people, their God is Ford, have sex often with different people, and they"re taught in infancy certain prejudices. The babies are taught to be satisfied with their own caste; alphas, betas, gammas, deltas, and epsilons. They"re taught to hate the country but like country sports. Every teaching has a specific purpose. .
             What is the purpose of life? Is it, "Life's short, play hard," as the civilized people believed, or is it more than that. Do we have a deeper purpose than just living? The civilized people had no value for life. .
             The D. H. C. said, "What is an individual? We can make a new one with the greatest of ease - as many as we like." .
             A nurse said about the death conditioning, "They learn to take death as a matter of course." .
             Life is not just for pleasure and happiness. It's more for joy, knowing that you've done all that you can do. It's sweat and hard work and discipline. .
             In the society everyone is happy. There are no differences. Everyone is brought up to be happy, and most do not even know what sadness or anger is. All is cured artificially through surrogates or drugs. Even happiness alone is not unique to the individual. Soma, the hallucinatory drug, the 'perfect drug' that is used by all, even induces the same kind of happiness.
             "Everybody belongs to everyone else" is the basic psychology of the society. This suggests that an individual owes everything to society, but society in turn owes everything to him or her. Everyone is the same. .
             The people don't have to worry about having a job. Being born and raised in Utopia, they do not know what freedom is and therefore does already possesses happiness, then there is no need for freedom, especially if your government is making sure that all your needs are satisfied. .
             Religion plays an important role in people's lives. It represents our principles and values. Religion guides us, gives us something to believe in and a set of rules to live by.
