My Journey to USA

In the back of mind I knew that I would have to fly by myself because we couldn't get the ticket confirmed on the same flight to Minneapolis. After clearing customs and immigration we went to the gate agent and my husband explained the situation. Since the tickets were for a different airline they couldn't do anything. I was very nervous since everything around me seemed so different. My husband took me to the terminal where my plane was supposed to depart from and he gave me the boarding pass along with the instructions. He kept telling me not to worry and everything would be fine. Finally the moment came when I had to say good bye to him since his plane was going to depart before mine. After saying good bye, to him I went and sat in a corner. I looked around everywhere and my inner-self was asking a lot of questions. Who am I? What am I doing here? It was such a different feeling. I was so fatigued that I fall asleep. After couple of hours when I woke up it was almost time for me to depart for my final destination. I couldn't wait any long to arrive in Minneapolis. I knew my husband would be there to greet me at the airport. .
When the plane arrived in Minneapolis I thought I was the happiest person on earth. I was very nervous and shocked when I didn't see my husband. I didn't know what to do. I kept looking down the hallway and finally I noticed someone was coming my way. I was able to recognize him in the crowd and he was waiving his hands from far away. My heart was filled with joy when I saw him. He took me to the car and we started our final journey to Mankato. He told me it was going to take an hour and a half to get to Mankato. The car journey was very comfortable. It was a beautiful day in Minnesota. We had a lot in common to talk about and by the time I even realized what time it was we reached home. My heart started to beat faster as he parked the car in the parking lot.
