The Earth has changed a lot since its birth. Only one thing has stayed the same: worries. The newest threat people worry about is cloning. That's not such a big deal because it could create a problem. But some environmental activists have gone as far as to create a day for all of this called earth day. They also tell untrue facts to scare our children into believing in all of this.
People really like to worry about cloning. They say that it has gone too far by tampering with nature. They also worry about the side effects. Everything has to go through some testing, and there will be mistakes. We will just have to live with it. Take medicine for example. Without testing we would not know how to do open-heart surgery. We would also not have vaccines for threats like polio. I think cloning should be legal because some people may not be able to reproduce.
Earth day is a very obnoxious day. The activists say it is a "holy day" which in my opinion is blasphemous. The day accomplishes nothing. Activists just stand around arguing their points with each other. They do not realize that no one else is watching. I think that Earth Day should not exist. It is just a big waste of oxygen and time.
Children will believe anything you tell them. They are like sponges. If you were their teacher and brought Charles Manson into the class and had him speak to the class, they would believe him because they are so impressionable. That is why I think the interviewing the children was a good idea because we can find out what the activist are saying to our children wrong and set them straight.
Although some of the things the activists talk about is true, some of it should just be laughed at. The next thing they may start saying is that we will run out of grass. They say a world without aerosol would be better. Well I think that a world without Earth Day would be better.
