Privacy of Cell Phone Cameras

Now these digital cameras have been built into these discreet objects which are carried by a vast majority of people. .
One might pose the question, "What is the difference between a cell phone camera and a digital camera?" There are many big differences. Due to the fact that a cell phone is a mobile device, pictures can be instantly shared via the internet and e-mail. Because of this, confiscating a cell phone camera is not very useful. Not to mention many people depend on their cellular phone for businiess and general communication. They would be reluctant to temporarly surrender their phone because of a rule forbidding camera phones in a particular facility. .
Many businesses in Japan are already posting signs forbidding the use of any camera cell phones. This is due to what is named "digital shoplifting". Stores in Japan, mainly those selling written publications such as books and magazines are trying to prevent shoppers from shooting photos of magazines. The problem is, you can only nicely ask "customers" to not take photos of these things.
The company, Samsung, the leading manufacturer of cell phone cameras has even closed its doors to its own creation. As of last year all employees and visitors are not permitted to use cell phone cameras inside any of their facilities. Everyone entering the building must have a plastic secuirity device attatched to their phone to prevent the taking of any pictures. This is quite an ironic situation; the creator is banning its own creation. It is not only Samsung who has banned these phones. Other information technology companies are beginning to disallow use of the phones. .
This just proves that these phones are a problem and this problem needs to be addressed. Currently manufacturers are talking about adding sound feature to the cameras so whenever a picture is taken, the surrounding people can be aware of the photographers presence.
