What Have The Mobile Phones Ever Done For Us?.
The mobile phone, what a fantastic idea. They make communication easier and emergency phone calls can be made at the scene of the crime. Then there was the arrival of the text messing, a great cheep way to contact your friends and send fun messages. But has it all started to spiral out of control? I am all for mobile phones there great fun and an easy way to communicate, (though sometimes a bit expensive) however even I have too agree that this is really getting out of hand. The latest Nokia, this week's must have accessory, that is of course until it gets stolen or another even flasher handset is brought into the shops. What is next for the mobile phone? Well were all aware that we can now send photo messages, the new adverts are unavoidable. Yet there is still more, a revolution in mobile phones brought to us by Nokia and Sony Ericsson. These new phones offer us colour screens to watch our TV and video clips of the latest film downloaded of the Internet, which is faster and more reliable than WAP. It doesn't stop there; we can receive the latest no1 in the charts, send digital photo messages and view our e-mail's. This is not, according to the companies an over-hyped letdown that most of the other "ground-breaking" technology for our mobile phones has been. To me this all seems like the mobile phone companies have just fed us a load of hype, to keep us buying their handsets because their company can't survive on just our already over priced phone bills. Apart from all the problems of over-hyped technology, huge bills and addictive games, there is a more serious down side. Mobile phone crime is now the number one street crimes in the U.K. almost 1 million phones are stolen every year; scientists have also said that making calls on your mobile can cause brain tumours, and the lax security and control on the Internet have got parents concerned.
